โœจ How Children Learn โœจ

Children learn when they feel safe and supported.

They learn when their nervous systems are calm.

They learn when their bodies have rhythm, hydration, and consistency.

They learn best in environments that honor their whole being: body, mind, and emotions.

โœจ Children thrive when movement is meaningful... when it prepares their brains and bodies to feel safe, focused, and ready to learn. This workshop will share Movement that Matters: adaptable, science-backed tools and simple, powerful movements you can bring into your classroom, your home, and your daily rhythm.

Through these practices, youโ€™ll discover ways to nurture:

๐ŸŒฑ Sensory integration: helping children organize and respond to the world around them

๐Ÿ’› Social-emotional learning: building resilience, focus, and emotional regulation

๐ŸŒˆ Neurodivergent support: honoring the unique pathways of every child

๐ŸŒฑ What Youโ€™ll Learn

โœ”๏ธ Practical movement tools for home and classroom

โœ”๏ธ Simple techniques to support focus, calm, and regulation

โœ”๏ธ How movement supports brainโ€“body development and learning

โœ”๏ธ Strategies that enhance sensory integration & emotional wellbeing

These practices are for all ages:  from pre-K through high school (and adults, too!) and can be used in classrooms, homes, and daily life.

๐ŸŒฑ For those called to go deeper, this work also lives at the heart of my Wild Roots Childrenโ€™s Yoga Training, a full certification designed to support teachers, parents, and caregivers in guiding children with movement, creativity, and embodied learning. 2026 dates TBA.  Please be in touch to host or attend any Children's Yoga Certification: hello@ohanarising.yoga
