Training Overview

Yin Yoga is more than slowing down—it is an opportunity to better understand the body, the nervous system, and the principles that create balance between them. This training combines the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine with functional anatomy and modern movement science, providing practical tools that deepen both personal practice and teaching.

Together we’ll explore the history and philosophy of Yin Yoga, the relationship between Yin and Yang, the three principles of the practice, and the seven archetypal Yin postures. You’ll learn variations, modifications, prop use, and appropriate hold times while developing an understanding of how each posture can be adapted for different bodies.

Alongside the practice, we’ll build a strong foundation in functional anatomy, including skeletal variation, joint function, and myofascial lines. Whether you want to teach Yin or simply gain a deeper understanding of your own body, you’ll leave with the confidence to create thoughtful sequences, adapt poses with clarity, and apply Yin principles to support mobility, recovery, nervous system regulation, and long-term well-being.

Who This Training Is For

This training is designed for:

  • Yoga teachers

  • Yoga students wanting a deeper understanding of Yin

  • Fitness and movement professionals

  • Bodyworkers and healthcare practitioners

  • Anyone interested in anatomy, recovery, mobility, or nervous system health

No previous Yin Yoga experience is required.

What Makes This Training Different

This training bridges ancient wisdom with modern anatomy in a way that is practical, evidence-informed, and accessible. Rather than teaching one “correct” way to practice, you’ll learn how individual anatomy influences movement so you can adapt Yin Yoga for real bodies—not idealized shapes.

Whether you teach or simply want to move and feel better, you’ll leave with tools that can be applied immediately in everyday life.
