Workshop Description:
In the first part of this workshop, you will gain an understanding of what components make up a functional posture and how imbalances in the body are created. You will then learn how to identify these imbalances in your own body. We will be focusing on recognizing the imbalances of the hips and learning how they can affect your body as a whole. In the second part, you will be taken through a few gentle, corrective exercises and stretches created to reintroduce functional movement into the body. These exercises and stretches will be paired with simple functional tests to help you feel and understand how your imbalances respond to the movements. Implementing them into your daily life will help you regain efficiency in your movements, reduce and/or prevent chronic pain, and lessen the chance of injury.
